Amelia

Amelia is bright, imaginative, independent, and even a bit of a tomboy — none of which earns her many friends in the strict social hierarchy of elementary school. She doesn't mind that too much, though; hanging out with Crow, talking childhood philosophy and playing pretend, is what she'd rather be doing anyway. Amelia has a knack for looking at human quirks and foibles with an unbiased eye, which makes her an ideal teacher for Crow.

Crow

Crow is a quintessential crow — clever, often mischievous, and always preoccupied by the thought of his next meal. He's very interested in humans, and thoroughly confused by some of their stranger opinions and practices. Still, Amelia seems perfectly willing to explain things for him, as best she can; and as long as Crow gets something to eat now and then, he's happy to listen.
