Some Questions You May Have...

  • What's the plot of Amelia and Crow?
There isn't really any specific "plot" in Amelia and Crow. Mostly, the strips are just about things that I find funny, interesting, or both. Anything that the characters might react to in a neat way bubbles in my mind until it makes it onto paper. It's not about constructing one continuous story, though some strips naturally progress through mini-storylines.

  • Are the characters based on anyone you know?
Short answer: kind of. Long answer: both Amelia and Crow exhibit characteristics of a number of people I know, which makes it easy for me to figure out their reactions to their various experiences. But neither of them is a carbon copy of anyone I know.

  • How long have you been drawing Amelia and Crow?
I developed the characters back in 2001, but various other projects and jobs kept me from really working on the strip for a while. I'm hoping I might be able to make Amelia and Crow a more full-time endeavor in the near future.

  • Are you planning to do a webcomic?
Webcomics are certainly easier to get "published" — just put the comic on the web, update it as frequently as possible, and there it is. Unfortunately, if I want to be able to make a living off of Amelia and Crow, syndication is currently the way to go. While a webcomic can make you some money in the long run, only syndication will produce immediate compensation. I'm not rich, so this is a major consideration for me.

  • How can I get in touch with you?
If you'd like to ask me a question or talk to me about publication or syndication, feel free to fill in my contact form.
